Government expands eligibility for Small Business Wildfire Relief Program
June 27, 2023Following the recent Nova Scotia wildfires, the government has expanded eligibility for the one-time grant of $2,500 under the Small Business Wildfire Relief Program. Under the new criteria, small businesses within Halifax Regional Municipality and Shelburne County that were forced to close for at least five days, due to the wildfires, are now eligible to apply for the grant. Previously, one of the criteria for eligibility included affected businesses within the former mandatory evacuation zones.
