PEI to go to the polls April 3, 2023
March 14, 2023One day after hosting the Canada Winter Games, the Government of Prince Edward Island called a provincial election for April 3, 2023.
PEI Premier Dennis King and his governing Progressive Conservative Party have enjoyed significant support from Islanders over the course of their first mandate. The PCs are expected to win this election with a comfortable majority.
RCC will continue to keep members apprised as it raises issues of importance over the course of the election through our Vote Retail page.
Some of those issues include:
• Legislate the use of a CPI formula to adjust minimum wage;
• Avoid the downloading social imperatives on the business community;
• Allow sale of beer and wine in retail stores;
• Lower taxes, and ;
• Develop a retail sector strategy.
