Prince Edward Island to ease a number of COVID-19 restrictions

As of Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 8am the province will ease a number of COVID-19 restrictions including:

  • Restaurants can now add two additional groups of 50 people each, with an approved operational plan while maintaining a closing time of 11pm and a maximum table size of 10 people.
  • Retail must continue operating at up 50% capacity until at least January 25, 2021.
  • Movie theatres can now add two additional groups of 50 people each with an approved operational plan.

Good news for sports retailers: Organized recreational and team sports may resume operating with up to 50 people in attendance but can now add two additional groups of 50 people each, with an approved operational plan. In-province tournaments will now be allowed, subject to COVID-19 rules.
