RCC CEO statement on Saskatchewan’s re-opening

Retail Council of Canada (RCC) is pleased to have worked closely with the province of Saskatchewan on the development of the Re-Open Saskatchewan as announced today by Premier Scott Moe.  RCC was called upon to provide retail expertise and guidance as stores across the province prepare to open on May 19, 2020.  We appreciate the Premier’s nod to essential retailers who have worked hard to service the province by putting in place protocols that have helped sustain the low COVID-19 rates Saskatchewan continues to experience.

Retailers are committed to doing their part and we believe that the physical distancing and cleaning protocols outlined in the plan are appropriate and important.  We also look forward to helping our retailers get back on their feet through the sharing of best practices in our “new world”.
