The provincial government has announced that Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) has approved a one-time rebate of $285 million, expected to average approximately $285 per vehicle or 26% of an average annual premium in Saskatchewan. The amount each customer receives will vary and it will be calculated based on a proportion of vehicle premiums paid in the previous three years. Rebates apply to all customers, including commercial vehicles, and will be issued in May 2021.
