March 7, 2024The recent study for Retail Council of Canada by Caddle shows that 87% of Canadians observing Easter are set to spend as much or more than last year, with a shift towards more in-person celebrations: 51% plan to host or attend Easter meals, up from 40% in 2023. Most (80%) prefer shopping in-person at local retailers, and 52% are blending Easter shopping with regular purchases, with fewer planning far in advance, possibly to snag better deals. Notably, there's a 14 percentage point decrease in the overall number of Canadians celebrating Easter.
