Retailers wrapped 2022 with strong Boxing Day event and adjust to a consumer that is shifting their priorities.

Retailers report a better finish to Holiday 2022 than expected, helping to smooth out a very uneven few months of consumer spending. For many, the pre-Christmas shopping period was brought to an abrupt halt with severe winter weather in most of Southern Ontario and snowstorms in the lower mainland of B.C.
