Q: Who can attend the meetings?
A: Retailers who work in the areas of Health and Safety, Loss Prevention or Human Resources can attend meetings. Most important is that the information and knowledge gained at the meeting is transferred back to the organization.
Q: How long does the Safety Program run for?
A: The program runs from February 2013 – December 31, 2013. Meetings are held 4x/year: February, April, June, and October.
Q: How are the elements selected and Action Plan developed?
A: We encourage Retailers to select elements that address an area where injuries or accidents are frequently occurring.
New bullying and harassment policies for BC employers come into effect November 1
New WorkSafeBC rules will require all employers in British Columbia to have anti-bullying and harassment policies, provide training, have procedures in place for reporting bullying and harassment situations and to keep records of cases.
