Manitoba announces an extension of most Health Order restrictions

June 11, 2021

With Manitoba continuing to experience significant pressures on its health system, the province has announced that almost all of the current restrictions will remain in place until at least June 26, 2021, when the current Health Order expires this Friday.

This means retail capacity limits remain at 10% or 100 customers, whichever is fewer, and only one person per household is permitted to enter stores at one time. Some exceptions, such as single parents with children and those who require a caregiver, remain in place.

Many businesses, including restaurants (and their patios), gyms, and personal services remain prohibited from offering services in person. Schools will remain on remote learning for the balance of the year, and indoor gatherings are prohibited. However, with this new Health Order, outdoor gatherings up to a maximum of 5 people will be permitted.
