RCC successfully advocates for no changes to retail restrictions in Manitoba

November 16, 2021

In response to growing pressures on the health system, on Saturday, November 12, 2021 the Manitoba government announced an updated Health Order. Despite mounting pressure, RCC was an effective advocate for members, with retailers avoiding unwelcomed new restrictions. As a result, retail capacity will remain at 100% for most of Manitoba, with the exception of specific areas of Southern Health Region that remain at 50% of normal capacity levels.

Retailers must also continue to support physical distancing measures and mandatory masking. Several sectors including restaurants, bars, and events are currently under a series of restrictions, including the requirement to implement a proof of vaccination program.
