Quebec will no longer require vaccine passports in Quebec’s retail businesses as of Wednesday, February 16, 2022

February 16, 2022

The Government of Quebec made an announcement today regarding the gradual withdrawal of vaccine passports.

As of February 16, 2022, vaccine passports will no longer be required within:

  • Businesses of more than 1,500 m2
  • SAQ and SQDC branches

As of March 14, 2022, vaccine passports will no longer be required:

  • Restaurants
  • Cinemas
  • Theatres

The government does not exclude the return of vaccine passports if the epidemiological situation deteriorates.

It should be noted that capacity limits in retail will end on February 21, 2022, and that wearing a mask is still mandatory in public places.
