B.C. announces details for property crime and vandalism program for small business

To address the increased costs to businesses due to property crime and vandalism in communities across the province, the B.C. government has launched its $10.5 million Securing Small Business Rebate Program, which will provide small businesses with funds for eligible commercial property crime and vandalism repairs or to implement eligible preventative measures.
The program will be administered by the B.C. Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and local chambers across B.C. Applications for the very limited funding open on November 22, 2023 (for the 2023 calendar year). The maximum amount per small business is $2,000 for each of the 2023 and 2024 calendar years.
