RCC to host member discussion on Health Canada’s draft amendments for the regulation of Natural Health Products

Health Canada recently announced its draft amendments on the regulation of Natural Health Products, with the aim of improving the clarity of labelling on natural health products. While RCC is supportive of this goal, we have expressed concerns on the timing of these amendments, coming so soon after the plain language labelling initiative for over-the-counter non-prescription drugs. The draft amendments impact a very wide number of consumer products including toothpaste, sunscreen, vitamin supplements, and many others commonly found in retail stores.
The consultation period runs until September 4, 2021, and RCC will be hosting a members-only call next Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11am EDT to inform our written submission.
