Marine Atlantic announced food and pharmacy shipments will end

Marine Atlantic announced that as of October 5, 2020, load priority for food and pharmacy shipments will end. Premium bookings will be reintroduced.
Load priority was only a temporary initiative to assist with the food and pharma supply chain challenges that were particularly acute during the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
RCC has / continues to push for load priority to continue indefinitely given the years of challenges in getting fresh produce to the province.
