Feedback Invited on B.C.’s Commercial Packaging and Paper Waste

Attention large and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia: The Government of B.C. released a discussion paper on Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) Packaging and Paper Products (PPP) on April 23. The paper proposes actions from landfill bans for PPP to full Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for ICI PPP. The Ministry is inviting stakeholders to provide comment either in writing, and people living in British Columbia through a survey on their Engage BC web site. Feedback can be provided until July 23, 2024. RCC plans to draft a response for members, to be discussed at an upcoming RCC EPR Committee meeting.
