Upcoming information sessions on Bill S-5

Earlier this month, Bill S-5, Strengthening Environmental Protection for a Healthier Canada Act, received Royal Assent. It includes amendments to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) as well as modernizing the legislative framework for the Chemicals Management Plan. To help inform stakeholders of key amendments and next steps for implementation, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and Health Canada will be hosting information sessions:

• English virtual session – June 29, 2023 (11:00am to 12:15pm ET)
• French virtual session – July 6, 2023 (1:00pm to 2:15pm ET)
