Alberta launches extended producer responsibility (EPR) consultations

The Alberta government has launched its consultation process in support of its plans to develop a provincial extended producer responsibility (EPR) framework and initially 100% industry funded programs for plastics, packaging, and hazardous household waste.
RCC expects to continue to work closely with the government as it transitions into its formal public consultation phase and will be providing a written submission prior to the April 30, 2021 deadline to support live member consultation sessions.
