Alberta to announce reopening plan, with final stage expected by Canada Day

June 17, 2021

With 70% of eligible Albertans now having received their first dose, the critical milestone to the final stage of the province’s Open for Summer Plan, an announcement is imminent that will start the two-week countdown for the lifting of all remaining restrictions.

Retail stores will no longer be required to manage capacity, use directional arrows and prohibit traditional access to services.

RCC anticipates that municipalities will adopt different mask requirements. To assist retailers, RCC will begin tracking regional decisions on mask requirements as they are announced.
