City of Vancouver delays single-use bag and cup bylaws

Vancouver City Council passed a motion to delay the effective date (implementation) and enforcement of their single-use bag and single-use cup bylaws to January 1, 2022.

RCC was a leader in the effort to obtain a delay – writing council; encouraging another critical stakeholder to write council; speaking to, and answering questions about the proposal. RCC will update our single-use page to reflect the changes when the amended bylaws are published.
