EPRA steps forward to manage end-of-life eBikes in British Columbia

Sellers of eBikes in B.C. may be aware that the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy intends to begin enforcement of the requirement in the Recycling Regulation that “obligated producers” (including sellers) of eBikes are required to have a plan for the management of end-of-life eBikes. This is usually achieved by joining an Extended Producer Responsibility program to manage the product. The Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) has indicated they are willing and able to manage eBikes within their program. More details will be forthcoming.
