Manitoba pharmacies now able to perform travel related rapid testing

October 22, 2021

The Manitoba government has announced that COVID-19 rapid antigen tests and rapid molecular (non-PCR) tests may be performed at pharmacies. Pharmacies will be responsible for acquiring rapid testing supplies, training staff, and advertising the service at their site. Manitoba travellers will be required to pay a fee for the required testing.

To request a rapid test, individuals are required to present the pharmacist with documentation related to their travel plans, and confirm which type of test is required when making their travel plans and before taking a rapid test.
