Retailers and customers adjusting to lifting of rules in Manitoba

August 10, 2021

On Saturday, August 7, 2021 Manitoba retailers opened their doors for the first time in 17 months without the requirement of any COVID-19 specific requirements. However, in extensive discussion with RCC members over the past several days, RCC has learned that only a few retailers are moving quickly to update their protocols. Those making changes are lifting capacity limits, removing directional aisle arrows, and other subtle amendments.

Additionally, while masks are no longer required (only a recommendation for those that are not fully immunized), the majority of customers continue to wear them. RCC will continue support members as they manage customer and employee expectations during this new phase.
