Edmundston-Upper Madawaska, NB area out of lockdown and clarification on rules for New Brunswick supply chain

April 28, 2021

On April 29, 2021, New Brunswick’s Edmundston-Upper Madawaska area (Zone 4) will move to the Orange Level in the COVID-19 protocol.  This is good news for the area, which includes the communities of Edmundston and Grand Falls.  The Zone 4 communities of Saint-Quentin and Kedgwick will remain in the Yellow Level of the COVID-19 protocol.

Public Health is warning that COVID-19 and variant cases are increasing in the Fredericton area, which may result in increased restrictions later this week.

The government has clarified that New Brunswick based commercial truckers who travel outside of New Brunswick must engage in modified isolation when they are at home. When not working, these commercial truckers must isolate at home. The family members of these commercial truckers do not need to isolate.
