Newfoundland and Labrador retailers must enforce physical distancing as entire province moves to Alert Level 4

January 5, 2022

On January 4, 2022, the entire province moved to Alert Level 4.

Under this Level, while there are no specific capacity limits for retailers, retailers must enforce physical distancing. Retail businesses cannot operate at 100% capacity but each retailer’s capacity limit could differ based on the retailer’s ability to maintain physical distancing. Inspectors will likely be visiting stores to ensure that rules are being followed.

See the government’s  Alert Level 4 details.
