Newfoundland and Labrador announces Together Again reopening plan

Nfld and Lab has announced a three-step reopening plan entitled Together Again. The full plan is available on the government’s website along with a brief summary table.

Step 1 will begin as early as July 1, 2021

Mask wearing and physical distancing is still required, but there will be no capacity restrictions for retail stores, so long as physical distancing can be maintained.

Restaurants can open at 75% capacity with physical distancing rules, though self-serve buffets are prohibited.

Domestic travel to the province is allowed for those who are fully vaccinated with no self-isolation requirements.

Step 2 will begin as early as August 15, 2021

Mask wearing and physical distancing is still required, and capacity restrictions will be lifted for restaurants, so long as physical distancing can be maintained.  Self serve buffets are prohibited.

Domestic travel without self-isolation is now also allowed for the partially vaccinated.

Step 3 will begin as early as September 15, 2021

Mask requirements will be reviewed, with physical distancing still required.

Self serve buffets are still expected to be prohibited in restaurants.
