RCC makes last push for retailers in Nova Scotia provincial election

August 17, 2021

RCC continues to engage in the Nova Scotia election campaign, raising issues of importance to retailers including: government respect for the retail sector as seen through the creation of a retail strategy; environmental initiatives related to packaging; labour issues related to minimum wage; and retail operations related to RCC’s is push for the sale of beer, wine and ready to drink products in retail stores.

RCC received responses to its election questionnaire from all the major parties, which have been posted on VOTE RETAIL Nova Scotia. The incumbent Liberal Party has been leading throughout the campaign but their once significant lead seems to have been greatly diminished.  Many pundits are predicting a close race to the finish with the likely result being a Liberal minority or slim majority government.
