Nova Scotia retailers now able to operate at maximum capacity with health measures in place

July 13, 2021

Effective Wednesday, July 14, 2021, Nova Scotia will enter Phase 4 of its reopening plan. Of note to RCC members, retailers will now be able to operate at maximum capacity (with public health measures in place, including physical distancing and masks) while restaurants can return to normal service hours and allow up to 25 people per table.

The rules around masks have also been loosened. Although masks are still required in retail and quick service restaurants, masks are no longer required at outdoor public places where it may be difficult to maintain physical distancing. Outdoor markets were specifically mentioned as an area where masks are no longer required.
