City of Toronto votes in favour of parking space levy study
February 14, 2023Toronto City Hall voted in favour on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 of exploring several new revenue streams through studies, including a parking space tax that would impact retailers of all sizes in the City.
Before the vote, RCC voiced its concerns on behalf of members, stressing the difference between a parking space levy and parking sales tax and questioning whether the levy will promote sustainable transportation.
