Speech from the Throne emphasizes stability and certainty for businesses, avoidance of lockdowns

Yesterday morning, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, delivered the Speech from the Throne to open the fall session of the 42nd Parliament of Ontario. The speech focused on the government’s record of combatting COVID-19 in the health and long-term care sectors but did include a point about the need to provide stability and certainty to businesses through the avoidance of future lockdowns as an “ultimate goal.”
