Countdown to compliance deadline for accessibility standards for employment in Manitoba

The province is reminding Manitoba employers that they have until May 1, 2022 to be in compliance with the province’s Accessibility Standard for Employment, the second of five accessibility standards now in effect. The regulation calls on employers to have measures, policies, and practices in place to provide reasonable accommodations for employees and applicants as part of the recruitment, offer of employment, on the job, return to work, and training phases.
