Quebec relaxes COVID-19 measures for workers, breakrooms

March 1, 2022

The CNESST has announced some PPE and common room management relaxations for workers effective Monday, February 28, 2022:

  • Teleworking is no longer mandatory;
  • Continuous use of a high-quality mask is no longer mandatory if there are 2 metres of physical distance or the presence of physical barriers. However, a high-quality mask must still be worn in traffic areas;
  • No physical separation or physical barriers are required during food consumption in the dining and break rooms; a quality mask is required when food is not being consumed.

A complete chart explaining the new CNESST measures is available online (in French only).

Reminder that this does NOT impact the mandatory mask requirements at all times for clients.
