CCCD held its second Politiques et détail morning event on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Montreal. After hosting the Minister of Economy and Energy, Pierre Fitzgibbon last month, members had the chance to meet the Minister of French Language and Cybersecurity, Jean-François Roberge.
After welcoming more than 50 attendees, the French Language Minister discussed the newly adopted update to the Loi sur la langue officielle et commune du Québec, le français.
After a host of questions on various aspects, including signage and regulations publication dates, participants were invited to congratulate the winners of this year’s Molière Prizes. Three RCC members, MEC, Ameublements Tanguay, and Lunetterie Iris, received a prize each for their efforts to promote French language within their company and in dealings with consumers in French. The Minister was accompanied by the president of the Office québécois de la langue française.
