Three regions in Quebec move into the “Red Zone”

September 29, 2020

With raising cases of COVID-19 in Quebec, beginning on midnight Wednesday, October 1, 2020, the government has issued a “Red Zone Alert” for the following areas:

  • Quebec City
  • Greater Montreal area
  • Chaudière-Appalaches

For retailers, no closures are anticipated but tight customer controls (counting of customers who enter the store, careful sanitization practices, screening for health concerns, strict adherence to social distancing protocols while waiting in lines etc) will be STRONGLY recommended.

For restaurants, dining rooms will be closed for 28 days while the regions are in the “Red Zone” but take-out, drive-thru and delivery options remain in operation.
