Saskatchewan minimum wage to Increase by $0.26 October 1, 2019

The Saskatchewan government has announced that the provincial minimum wage will increase to $11.32 an hour from $11.06, effective October 1, 2019.

Since 2011 the annual adjustment has been calculated based on changes to Saskatchewan’s Consumer Price Index and the average hourly wage for the previous year.  RCC supports this approach as it allows for a predictable, non-political adjustment to the starting wage.  A comprehensive list of minimum wage rates by province can be found on RCC’s website: HERE
