Vaccination leave for employees in Saskatchewan

March 25, 2021

The Government of Saskatchewan has amended The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020 to allow for 3 hours paid leave, as necessary, to allow for an employee to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

The amendment ensures workers do not lose any pay while receiving a COVID-19 vaccination and will require the employer to schedule the employee’s shift around the pre-scheduled appointment or pay the employee if a schedule amendment cannot be accommodated.
