Manitoba cautiously loosens restrictions

March 25, 2021

The Manitoba government has announced that due to a rise in COVID-19 variant cases, it will be only making minor amendments to its new Health Order.

Effective March 26, 2021, retail capacity limits have now been set at 50% of fire code or 500 customers, whichever is lower – an increase to the previous maximum of 250 people. Additionally, gathering limits at outdoor public places, weddings, and funerals have been increased to 25 people.

Additional updates may be announced after Easter with the Health Order next set to expire on April 15, 2021.
