EnAbling Change for Retailers: Accessibility and store design

Today, one in seven Canadian adults currently identify as having a mobility, vision or hearing disability and this number is projected to increase to one in five, or 20%, by 2036.  57% of people with disabilities who do not work believe they could if barriers were removed from the workplace, allowing more than half a million Canadian adults to find meaningful employment and contribute millions of dollars to our GDP.

This webinar provides an understanding of Universal Design and meaningful accessibility in the built environment to ensure retail spaces are accessible for users with hearing, vision and/or mobility disabilities. It will also cover tools that you can use to analyze a building’s accessibility holistically and understand areas of improvement for your building to support your organizations’ journey towards improved inclusion.
