Manitoba extends Back to Work Wage Subsidy Program

The Manitoba government has expanded its Back to Work in Manitoba Wage Subsidy Program that provides private-sector and non-profit employers up to $100,000 to subsidize 20 employees (up to $5,000 per employee) hired since July 16, 2020. With this announcement the program will be extended by two months until December 31, 2020 to support seasonal hires made by retailers this fall. Currently the retail trade is the top participating sector in the program, representing 16% of applications.
