New Brunswick three-phased recovery plan expected to begin June 7, 2021

June 1, 2021

Last week, New Brunswick outlined a three-phased path toward the Green level in COVID-19 protocols. Highlights of the phased approach include:

  • Phase 1:
Provided that at least 75% of New Brunswickers have received at least their first vaccine dose, then as of June 7, 2021, the province will open up with no isolation or testing required for those travelling from PEI, NL, Avignon and Témiscouata (Quebec).  Truckers will no longer be subjected to testing and home isolation requirements.

  • Phase 2:
The expectation is that by July 1, 2021, the Atlantic Bubble will be opened to Nova Scotia, and some international travel into the province will be allowed. Restaurants, gyms, and salons will be allowed to operate at regular capacity with maintenance of contact lists for clients. Masks must be used within two metres or when not eating/drinking.

  • Phase 3:
As of August 2, 2021 the goal is for all restrictions to be lifted.
