Saskatchewan passport requirement goes into effect Friday

September 28, 2021

The Saskatchewan government’s recently announced COVID-19 proof-of-vaccination requirement goes into effect October 1, 2021. While retail stores are exempt, as of the end of the week only fully vaccinated or recently tested residents will be admitted into restaurants (for indoor dining), movie theatres and gyms, among other establishments. The province is expected to publish its health order shortly. This will provide final clarity for hybrid retailers.

The province also announced it has temporarily removed QR codes from vaccination records, following a privacy breach. Until this is addressed, patrons will be able to use a digital or printed copy of their health records available at mySaskHealthRecord.
