End in sight for COVID-19 restrictions in Alberta

Premier Jason Kenney has indicated that he expects Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program and other public health measures will be removed by the end of March 2022. Kenney suggested he will use data as the bases for his recommendations, and has committed to avoiding the removal of measures if there are higher transmission and hospitalization rates.
RCC will be seeking an increase to the 33% retail capacity limit sooner than the end of March, knowing the province maintains the strictest rules outside of Québec in this area.
