Manitoba launching Small Business Minimum Wage Adjustment Program

October 25, 2022

Manitoba has launched its Small Business Minimum Wage Adjustment Program, modest response designed to help a few businesses transition to a substantially higher minimum wage.

Small businesses with up to 20 employees, including those in private, non-profit, and charitable sectors, are eligible to receive a prorated wage subsidy of up to 50 cents per hour for the six-month period from October 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, for each employee earning the new minimum wage of $13.50 per hour for up to 40 hours per week.

The application process is now open.
