It’s been an unpredictable two years for Canadian retailers. Navigating pandemic-related safety mandates and pivoting their operations to evolve with the drastic shift to online shopping was not the only challenge retailers have had to overcome. Knotted supply chains led to empty shelves, longer lead times, and higher shipping costs. Demand for talent led to rising labour costs and inflationary pressures increased at an unprecedented rate.
