The Alberta government has announced that effective at 11:59 p.m. tonight, updated mandatory health measures will go into effect, reducing retail capacity from 25% to 15% of fire code occupancy.
Shopping malls will also be limited to 15%, and small businesses are permitted to have a minimum of five customers.
Curbside pick-up and delivery services are encouraged, and retailers must continue to maintain their strict commitment to safety protocols.
Additionally, indoor fitness facilities return to Step 1 restrictions in the province’s Path Forward plan, and effective noon on Friday, April 9, restaurants will be restricted to providing takeout, delivery and patio service only.
