United Conservative Party (UCP) shuffles Alberta cabinet: Retail’s impact
June 27, 2022Alberta’s Premier Jason Kenney announced a number of changes to his provincial cabinet last week, with long time environment minister Jason Nixon appointed finance minister as former minister Travis Toews campaigns to become the next UCP leader. MLA Whitney Issik, former Associate Minister of the Status of Women, will now act as the Minister of Environment and Parks as the government prepares to announce new Extended Producer Responsibility regulations for residential recycling and hazardous products. A new UCP leader and premier will be chosen on October 6, 2022.
