Manitoba minimum wage under review

June 27, 2022

Manitoba’s labour minister has asked its equal representation Labour Management Review Committee to recommend a one-time special inflation adjustment for the province’s minimum wage that is already planned to increase from $11.95 to $12.35 on October 1, 2022. If consensus can’t be reached, Management and Labour caucuses will submit separate recommendations. RCC anticipates that with Saskatchewan increasing its minimum to $13 on October 1, 2022, resulting in Manitoba having the lowest rate in the country, a minimum above $13 as of October 1 is highly probable in the province.
