BC increases COVID-19 restrictions

March 30, 2021

With dramatic increases in new case numbers, BC announced increased COVID-19 related restrictions effective midnight Monday, March 29, 2021.

Indoor dining will no longer be permitted: restaurants, pubs and bars will only be able to offer patio and outdoor seating or takeaway and delivery services. There will be a temporary suspension of indoor religious services. The Whistler ski season will end. Fitness centres and gyms will be able to operate only for individual training, e.g., one-on-one trainer and customer.

Retail stores are reminded to closely follow their workplace safety plans: ensure occupancy limits are reviewed and respected, adhere to the mask requirement, ensure lines are well-spaced, make sure that employees and customers maintain physical separation of 2 metres.
