BC public health authorities ask employers to inform employees about vaccination

May 6, 2021

Employers in BC are asked to remind their employees of the availability of vaccinations for COVID-19.

Those born before or in 1971 (aged 16+ for the clinically extremely vulnerable or pregnant British Columbians; 18+ for indigenous people) are now eligible through the age-based program. The age cohort able to book vaccinations will drop significantly in the next two weeks.

Every eligible person in the province can register today and will be contacted by text or email when it is their turn to book.

British Columbians working in ‘front-line’ settings may be eligible sooner: booking will be faster if already registered. British Columbians are encouraged to take the first available vaccination appointment offered.
