BC steps up COVID-19 enforcement action
December 17, 2020Premier John Horgan announced BC will take three actions to increase enforcement for COVID-19 community safety. BC will divert enforcement officers and community bylaw officers to support police at enforcing COVID-19 orders. Those who have been issued violation tickets for contravening COVID-19 orders will immediately be sent to collection. WorkSafeBC inspectors will be focused on workplaces in areas where COVID-19 transmission is highest.
RCC reminds retailers to comply with the Provincial Health Officer’s Orders respecting retail (section “L”, pages 20-1).
