New grant to support e-commerce experiences for BC-based businesses

Eligible small and medium sized businesses can receive up to 75% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $7,500. The program’s criteria stipulates that businesses who apply should be ready to complete their online shop (or improvement of their online shop) within 12 weeks, and must hire BC-based companies to develop the stores. Eligibility requirements are quite strict. Businesses must be owned by a BC resident or residents, operate solely or primarily in BC, employ less than 149 BC residents, have generated sales of $30,000+ in 2019, not currently have an online store or have a very basic online store, among other requirements.
